Changes in this Release for this Guide
New Features for Oracle Spatial Studio Release 25.1.0
- Added support for rendering GeoRaster images with Digital Elevation
Model (DEM) data as true 3D terrains on a map.
See the following for more information:
- Added support for uploading GeoRaster images into Spatial Studio from Oracle
Object Storage buckets.
See the following for more information:
- Added support for appending images to an existing GeoRaster table and RDT table
when these images are uploaded into Spatial Studio as GeoRaster data.
See Using the GeoRaster Dataset Creation Wizard for more information.
- Added support to control the generation of vector tiles and H3
hexagons in the new Settings tab within connection
properties.
See Spatial Studio Connections Page for more information.
- Added support for rendering 3D point cloud tiles with colors.
See Applying Style to a 3D Tile Layer for more information.
- Added support for zooming map on selected features that are selected from a
Table visualization.
See Using a Table Visualization for more information.
- Added support for a new spatial analysis that computes the size of
the geometries in a dataset.
See Determining the Size of Geometries for more information.
- Enhanced the Quick Start packaging to use the standard Jetty
server.
See Installing and Configuring the Spatial Studio Quick Start for more information.
- Added support for read-only Spatial Studio user by granting the new
SPATIAL_CONSUMER
role to a user.See Managing Spatial Studio User Roles for more information.
- Added legend support with a color scheme for various ranges of wind
velocity values in the wind animation dataset visualization.
See Visualizing a Wind Animation Dataset for an example.
- Added support for using regular geometry-based datasets in Cesium map visualization.
- Added support for automatically enabling GeoRaster (if not enabled already) when a data source connection is created for the first time in Spatial Studio.
- Added support for shapefiles containing WKT v2 projection files.
Upgrading to Spatial Studio 25.1.0
If you are running a Spatial Studio version:
- Earlier than 22.3.0: You must first download and successfully
log into Spatial Studio 22.3.0. This is because a new version control mechanism
is introduced for the metadata schema in 23.1.0 and Spatial Studio expects any
existing metadata schema to already be at the version of Spatial Studio 22.3.0.
Then you can upgrade to Spatial Studio 25.1.0.
Otherwise, Spatial Studio version 25.1.0 will log the following SEVERE error message and abort the startup process.
See Upgrading to Spatial Studio 22.3.0 for more information.!!! Spatial Studio ver. 22.3.0 must be run at least once against your repository schema before upgrading to this version !!!
- 22.3.0 or later: See Upgrading Spatial Studio to upgrade to Spatial Studio 25.1.0.
