Changes in Oracle SQL Developer Release 19.1

The following features are new for the Oracle SQL Developer Release 19.1.

New Features

  • Support file uploads for Cart and Data Pump operations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Service using Swift Object Storage HTTP transfer

Changes in Oracle SQL Developer Release 18.4

The following features are new for the Oracle SQL Developer Release 18.4.

New Features

  • For database import, export, or copy, a Utilities Log tab is now available that shows a summary of the operations with links to generated files.

Desupported Features

  • Starting with SQL Developer release 18.4, commands that are specific to migration are no longer supported in the command-line interface for SQL Developer. However, translation-related commands are still supported.

Changes in Oracle SQL Developer Release 18.3

The following features are new for the Oracle SQL Developer Release 18.3.

New Features

  • Load data using Data Pump Export to Cloud Wallet database connections with the DBMS_CLOUD package

  • Deploy tables, local and cloud storage files from the Cart to Cloud Wallet database connections with the DBMS_CLOUD package

  • Support for RDF data

  • Create custom rules for PL/SQL syntax highlighting

Desupported Features

  • Starting with Oracle REST Data Services release 18.1.1, Oracle REST Data Services no longer supports NoSQL. The configurations for NoSQL will no longer be available in the Oracle REST Data Services Administration section.

Changes in Oracle SQL Developer Release 18.2

The following features are new for the Oracle SQL Developer Release 18.2.

New Features

  • Refactor expressions in PL/SQL statements to a variable, function or common table expression.

  • Oracle Data Pump Export wizard supports Object Store Service file transfer and full import to Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud.

Changes in Oracle SQL Developer Release 18.1

The following features are new for the Oracle SQL Developer Release 18.1.

New Features

  • Support for composite sharding

  • Support for SQL injection detection

  • Support for loading data from cloud storage files to tables in Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud

  • Availability of preferences for migration from AWS Redshift to Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud
