1.2 Temporary Directory
During Linux installation, temporary copy of Oracle Universal Installer is placed in the directory specified by the TMPDIR, TMP, or TEMP environment variable, under a sub-directory named /OraInstall<timestamp>. Oracle Universal Installer checks these environment variables in the following order: TMPDIR, TMP, and then TEMP. If none of these variables is set, Oracle Universal Installer uses /tmp as the default temporary directory.
Note:
The TMPDIR/TMP/TEMP directory should not be a cluster file system or a shared location.
