7.4.5 How to drop stale requests?

Sometimes service execution becomes slow, causing request messages to remain in the IPC queue for an extended period of time. In some cases, the client that initiated the request may have already received a timeout notification, while the service continues processing the request in the background.

Oracle TSAM Plus Alert enables you to configure automated “drop request” actions based on specific metrics and conditions. For example, you can configure the system to drop a request when the message wait time exceeds a defined threshold. You can also define alerts that trigger a drop request action when the number of messages in the request queue exceeds a specified limit.
