2.8.3 Generating the RECORD Description File
To generate RECORD
description file, run cpy2record
command, specifying the name of the copybook
file as an argument. You can optionally specify a directory in which the resulting output file should be written. By default, the output file is written to the current directory.
For example, the tool is invoked as follows:
cpy2record abc.cbl
The output of the cpy2record
command is the binary version of the RECORD
description file, for example, abc.R
