@ISDESC

The @ISDESC calculation function for Essbase returns TRUE if the current member is a descendant of a specified member.

This function excludes the specified member.

Syntax

@ISDESC (mbrName)

Parameters

mbrName

Any valid single member name, or a function that returns a single member.

Example

In the Sample Basic database:

@ISDESC(Market)

Returns TRUE for West, California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Nevada

@ISDESC(Profit)

Returns FALSE for Measures, Profit, Profit %
