Error While Creating Partitions After Upgrading Stack to Essbase 21.8

While trying to create a new partition after upgrading stack to Essbase 21.8, you may see the following error -

Error: Cannot Get Passive Partition.

The solution is to delete the DDB file and then create new partitions. This ensures the host information is refreshed and partitions are listed correctly.

Note:

You must export the partitions before migration and recreate them.
