This document provides accessibility information for TimesTen. The information here applies to Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database, Oracle TimesTen Application-Tier Database Cache, and Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database Express Edition (TimesTen XE).

TimesTen products and user interfaces

Oracle TimesTen includes TimesTen Classic, TimesTen Scaleout, and TimesTen Cache. You can interact with these using a command-line interface or using graphical user interfaces offered through Oracle SQL Developer and Oracle Enterprise Manager. Command-line interfaces are accessible through the use of screen readers. For more information on accessibility in Oracle SQL Developer or Oracle Enterprise Manager, refer to the accessibility documentation of those products.

Note:

Oracle Enterprise Manager does not support TimesTen Scaleout or TimesTen XE.

Accessibility modes for TimesTen

TimesTen currently does not offer any accessibility modes for any of its products offerings. However, most of the TimesTen interfaces work through a command-line interface which is accessible through the use of a screen reader.

Accessibility keyboard shortcuts for TimesTen

TimesTen currently does not offer any accessibility keyboard shortcuts for any of its products offerings.

Accessibility of documents generated with the Javadoc generator

The Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database JDBC Extensions Java API Reference and Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database JMS/XLA Java API Reference that are part of this library are generated with the 1.8.0_291 Java Documentation (Javadoc) Generator.

Be aware of these accessibility issues with the TimesTen Javadoc documents:

  • They do not include row headers for accessibility, violating Web Content Accessibility Guidelines criterion 1.3.1. Reference these bugs:

    Bug 33867968 - Upgrade to version 1.9 of Javadoc tool

  • Use of the the Oracle Accessibility Toolbar (OATB) Reflow tool results in a horizontal scroll bar and potential loss of information, violating Web Content Accessibility Guidelines criterion 1.4.10. Reference this bug:

Accessibility of HTML files created by the ttStats utility

The ttStats utility creates HTML reports that are accessible and readable by screen readers.
