About Container Registries

A container registry stores container images and can be used as a source to run them. You must decide what container registry your Kubernetes cluster should use to pull your TimesTen container image.

Let's look at your options:

  • Oracle Container Registry: You can use TimesTen container images in Oracle Container Registry directly.

  • Oracle Cloud Marketplace: You can use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Registry (Container Registry) for TimesTen container images created by Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

  • Container Registry of your choice: You can use the docker push command to push a TimesTen container image to a container registry of your choice.
