2.15.2 Installing and Starting the vmetrics Service
To install the vmetrics service, run the install.sh
script as the root user on dom0:
[root@scac10adm01]# cd /opt/oracle.SupportTools/vmetrics [root@scac10adm01]# ./install.sh
The install.sh
script verifies that it is running on dom0, stops any vmetrics services currently running, copies the package files to /opt/oracle.vmetrics
, and copies vmetrics.svc
to /etc/init.d
.
To start the vmetrics service on dom0, run the following command as the root user on dom0:
[root@scac10adm01 vmetrics]# service vmetrics.svc start
The commands to gather the statistics are run every 30 seconds.
