2.1 Managing the dbmsrv Service
Oracle Exadata database servers run the Database Machine Service (dbmsrv), which provides management infrastructure similar to Management Server (MS) on Exadata storage servers. Together, dbmsrv and the DBMCLI command-line administration tool support monitoring, alerting, and other administrative tasks across bare-metal database servers, virtual machine hosts, and virtual machine guests.
