9.1.19.5 Quorum Disk Support in Oracle Universal Installer

You can specify a quorum failure group during the installation of Oracle Grid Infrastructure.

On Oracle Exadata Storage Servers, quorum disk groups are automatically created during deployment. A quorum failure group is a special type of failure group that is used to store the Oracle Clusterware voting files. The quorum failure group is used to ensure that a quorum of the specified failure groups are available.

The installer for Oracle Grid Infrastructure 12.2 was updated to allow you to specify quorum failure groups during installation instead of configuring the quorum failure group after installation using the Quorum Disk Manager utility.
