9.4.1 InfiniBand Partitioning for Virtualized Exadata Environments

InfiniBand partitioning is now available for virtualized Exadata environments and can be configured with the Oracle Exadata Deployment Assistant (OEDA).

Use the graphical user interface of OEDA to define the InfiniBand partitions on a per-cluster basis, and the command line interface of OEDA to configure the guests and the InifniBand switches with the appropriate partition keys and membership requirements to enable InfiniBand partitions.

InfiniBand partitions can be defined on a per-cluster basis. If storage servers are shared among multiple clusters, then all clusters will use the same storage partition key.
