9.5.3 Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) with Capacity-on-Demand (CoD)

Oracle Exadata Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) customers now have the Capacity-on-Demand feature to limit the number of active cores in the database servers in order to restrict the number of required database software licenses. Exadata 12.1.2.1.1 Software allows CoD and IaaS to coexist on the same system. Note that IaaS-CoD, the ability to turn on/off a reserved set of cores, is still included with IaaS.
