10.6.1 Oracle Solaris Operating System for Database Servers

The database servers in Oracle Exadata Database Machine have the Linux operating system and Oracle Solaris operating system. During initial configuration, choose the operating system for your environment. After selecting an operating system, you can reclaim the disk space used by the other operating system.
