13.3.5 Exadata Storage Server X11 Extreme Flash Hardware Components
Each Oracle Exadata Storage Server X11 Extreme Flash (EF) server includes the following components:
- CPU: 2 x 32-core AMD EPYC™ 9J15 processors, 2.95 GHz (up to 4.4 GHz)
- RAM: 256 GB (8 x 32 GB 6400MT/s DDR5 DIMMs), XRMEM cache not included
- Flash storage:
- 4 x 30.72 TB capacity-optimized flash devices (for primary data storage)
- 4 x 6.8 TB performance-optimized flash devices (primarily for high-performance low-latency caching using Exadata Smart Flash Cache and Exadata Smart Flash Log)
- System storage: 2 x 480 GB NVMe devices
- RDMA Network Fabric: 1 x dual-port CX7 RDMA Network Fabric card; PCIe 5.0, 2 x 100 Gb/s ports active-active (200 Gb/s combined throughput)
- Administration network: 1 x 1 GbE Base-T Ethernet port
- Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) port for remote management: 1 x 1 GbE Base-T Ethernet port
The X11 EF storage server requires Oracle Exadata System Software release 26.1.0 or later, 25.2.10 (May 2026) or later, or 25.1.17 (May 2026) or later. You can upgrade the storage server to add XRMEM cache by installing a memory expansion kit.
