Description of the illustration sample_cert

This is a figure showing a sample Secure Eraser certificate. The certificate has the following sections:

• The title of the certificate is "Data Erasure Certificate".

• The start time, for example: 2025-08-27 21:51:58 UTC

• The end time, for example: 2025-08-27 21:54:19 UTC

• The chassis number, for example: 2440XLN4HL

• The statement: "This is to certify that the components identified below have been securely erased in accordance with the applicable guidelines of NIST SP-800-88r1 standard. Secure erasure on storage devices has been further validated by random data sampling."
