Oracle Autonomous Health Framework (AHF) 24.1 Release Notes Summary

  • ASR client-log collection: TFA can collect Oracle Auto Service Request client logs for Oracle Database Appliance diagnostics using tfactl diagcollect -asr or -oda.
  • Collection reporting and comparison improvements: tfactl print collections -id <ID> -json returns information for one collection. Orachk/Exachk diff reports now classify expected configuration differences as common configurations.
  • Platform lifecycle notice: AHF 23.8.1 is the terminal release for AIX 7.1 and Solaris 11.3; those versions remain supported only on that terminal AHF release.
  • RAC Extended Cluster compliance: AHF adds checks for geographically distributed RAC Extended Clusters, available through ahfctl compliance -includeprofile extended.
  • Richer Insights event analysis: Major Events can include CPU and I/O context. The Timeline supports zooming, dynamically filters its event table, and can copy filtered results as plain text.
  • Disk-space visibility: Insights now highlights detected disk-space problems and uses color coding to make disk-utilization risk easier to identify.
  • Security dependency updates: Python and Java third-party components were upgraded to address known CVEs.
  • TFA masking deprecation: Manual mask_strings.xml masking is deprecated in favor of built-in Adaptive Classification and Redaction (ACR), enabled with tfactl set redact=mask|sanitize or per collection.
  • New checks: Orachk validates loopback-interface MTU; Exachk adds critical-issue checks EX83 and EX84.
