Oracle Autonomous Health Framework (AHF) 25.5 Release Notes Summary

  • New upgrade configuration commands: Upgrade settings are now managed through ahf configuration --type upgrade SDK CLI commands. Oracle recommends moving away from the legacy ahfctl getupgrade, setupgrade, and unsetupgrade commands, which are planned for deprecation.

  • Process-count spike detection: Orachk’s CHM analysis now includes the ProcessCountSpike signature, helping identify sudden growth in process counts that can create memory pressure, contention, or instability.
  • Richer top-process statistics: Orachk and AHF Insights now show each top resource consumer’s start time and cumulative CPU time, helping correlate long-running or CPU-intensive processes with incidents.
  • Process grouping by name prefix: Orachk aggregates similarly named processes in memory analysis, exposing groups that collectively consume significant memory but may not appear as individual top consumers.
  • New best-practice check: Orachk adds validation for ASM Filter Driver (AFD) configuration.
