ahf

Use the ahf command to generate diagnostic analysis report, generate AHF Balance reports, and query the version of AHF running on the local node.

Syntax

ahf category action [options]
category: {analysis,configuration,observer,software,data, security}

• analysis: Use to analyze an environment for problems and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• configuration: Use to change AHF configuration.
• observer: Use to interact with AHF processes.
• software: Use to retrieve software information about AHF and Monthly Recommended Patches (MRP).
• data: Use to retrieve information about AHF repositories.
• security: Use to manage AHF users.

Parameters

ahf Command Parameters

• -h, --help
  Show this help and exit.
• --version, -v
  Query the version of AHF installed on the local node.
• --debug, -d
  Show additional debug information in the log file.

• Category: software

  • Action: get-version
    Query the version of AHF installed on the local node.

  • Options:

    • --component {ahf,tfa,compliance,all}
    • --local

• Category: software

  • Action: get-mrp-level
    Get the Monthly Recommended Patches (MRP) level for an Oracle home.

    • Options:

      • --oracle-home ORACLE_HOME: Get the MRP level for the specified Oracle home.
      • -all: Get the MRP level for all Oracle homes on the system.

  • Action: compare-mrp-level
    Compare an Oracle home against a specific MRP level to retrieve installed and missing patches.

    • Options:

      • --oracle-home ORACLE_HOME: Specify the Oracle home for which you want to query information.
      • --mrp-level MRP_LEVEL: Specify the MRP level to check. Default: Latest applicable MRP level.

  • Action: get-latest-mrp-level
    Get the latest MRP level name.

    • Option:

      • --ru RU: Specify the RU for which you want to query information.

  • Action: apply-update
    Apply the provided update to the AHF installation on the local node.

    • Option:

      • --update-file <zip-file-name>: Specify the ZIP file name.
  • Action: get-update-history
    Get information about applied updates.
  • Action: rollback-update
    Roll back the latest update applied to the AHF framework on the local node.
  • Action: delete-update-backup
    Delete the AHF update backup directories and their contents.
  • Action: move
    Move the AHF Home directory to a new location.

  • Action: validate-downgrade-installer
    Validate the AHF installer for the version to which you want to downgrade.
  • Action: get-upgrade-history
    Get the AHF software upgrade history.
  • Action: downgrade
    Request an AHF downgrade.

    Generate an AHF Insights analysis report.
  • AHF Insights Options: --type insights with --last n{m|h}, --for DATETIME, or --from DATETIME --to DATETIME

    Generate AHF Balance Fleet, Cluster, or Database reports.
  • AHF Balance Options: --type impact --scope {fleet|cluster|database} --name NAME

    Launch exploratory analysis with the specified tool.
  • AHF Scope Options: --with scope and --from-file FILE

  Note:

  Autonomous Health Framework Scope (AHF Scope), a feature of Cluster Health Advisor (CHA), is deprecated in Oracle AI Database 26ai.

  Oracle recommends using Autonomous Health Framework Insights (AHF Insights) as the replacement. When AHF detects issues such as node evictions, instance evictions, or database performance degradation, AHF Insights provides a comprehensive report that identifies the problem, determines the root cause, and recommends corrective actions.

  The Database Anomalies Advisor also provides a timeline view of anomalies across hosts and database instances. You can drill down into individual findings to understand the underlying cause and recommended resolution.

    • --to-json: Print the output in JSON format.
    • --destination DESTINATION: Specify the destination directory to which the AHF Data directory is moved.
