The image is a screen capture that shows the Network Validation page in the standalone Oracle Appliance Manager Configurator. The left-hand side of the page indicates the step that you are on in the configuration steps. The preceding window is a link. You can click the link to go back to the previous page. The current page name is displayed in bold font. The Help, Back, Next, Finish, and Cancel buttons are at the bottom of the window. All buttons are active except for the Finish button. The Finish button is not active because you have not filled out all of the configuration windows.

The window shows a checkbox labeled Skip Network Validations. Select this box to prevent the Configurator from validating the addresses that you have entered in the Network Information page. When you select this box, the Next button becomes activated. In this screen shot example, the Skip Network Validations box is checked.

There is a validation results field below the window main display field, and a button labeled Run Validations. Next to the button, there is a label that says "Click 'Run Validations' to perform network validations." When you click the Run Validations button, the results are displayed here.

Below the validation results frame are two buttons. The button on the left is labeled Save Validation Output. The button on the right is labeled Run Validations button.

If you run the validation, then the text in the validation results field shows if the Configurator can ping the DNS server and resolve names and addresses that you have provided.

When you have completed network validation, click the Next button.
