Start the Enterprise Manager Agent manually and upgrade the Enterprise Manager Agent on the console host and client host using Enterprise Manager Cloud Control as described in the Cloud Control Upgrade Guide.

When you complete the upgrade steps, your deployment is upgraded to Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c Release 5 (13.5) or Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 24ai Release 1 with Oracle Database Appliance Enterprise Manager Plug-in Release 13.5.2.0.0 configured and running.

Failure is reported for Oracle ILOM target during discovery of Oracle Database Appliance from Oracle Enterprise Manager 24ai.

Problem Description

When discovering the Oracle Database Appliance target from Oracle Enterprise Manager 24ai, the Oracle ILOM target is marked as Failed.

This is because the target type oracle_exa_ilom is desupported in Oracle Enterprise Manager 24ai.

Failure Message

When you click the Failed link, the following error message may be displayed:

Workaround

The Oracle ILOM target is added as Systems Infrastructure Server target type. Use this target type for Oracle ILOM information.

Error in displaying disk information in Enterprise Manager Plug-in

An error may be encountered in displaying disk information when selecting the disk in the Storage tab on Oracle Database Appliance for Enterprise Manager plug-in.

In the Enterprise Manager Cloud Control upgrade wizard, copy the command in the last screen in the upgrade wizard, in the format path-to-new(upgraded)-oms/sysman/install/ConfigureGC.sh.

Paste the command into a terminal and launch the Agent Upgrade console. Complete the configuration steps. The Oracle Management Service (OMS) starts automatically when the configuration is completed.
