5 Firmware Qualification
This chapter provides information about Oracle Private Cloud Appliance component firmware versions that have been qualified through Oracle internal platform testing for use with a specific release of the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance Controller Software.
Interim Firmware Patches
Oracle periodically releases firmware patches
for many products, for example to address security vulnerabilities. It may occur that an
important firmware patch is released for a component of Oracle Private Cloud Appliance outside of the normal Controller Software
release schedule. When this occurs, the patches go through the same testing as all other
appliance firmware, but they are not added to the qualified firmware list or the installation
.iso for the affected Controller Software release.
After thorough testing, important firmware patches that cannot be included in the Controller
Software .iso image are made available to Oracle Private Cloud Appliance users through My Oracle Support.
Qualified Firmware for Oracle Private Cloud Appliance Controller Software Release 2.4.4.2
The following table lists the firmware versions that have been qualified by Oracle for Private Cloud Appliance Release 2.4.4.2. All required firmware packages are provided on the Controller Software ISO image.
