Database I/O by File Type

The metrics in this category report I/O activity aggregated by file type (for example, data versus log) for each database, measured as deltas since the previous collection.

Metric	Description
Database Name (key column)	Name of the database.
File Type (key column)	File type over which the I/O is aggregated (for example, ROWS for data or LOG for the transaction log).
Read Operations	Number of read operations issued against files of this type since the previous collection.
Write Operations	Number of write operations issued against files of this type since the previous collection.
Bytes Read	Number of bytes read from files of this type since the previous collection.
Bytes Written	Number of bytes written to files of this type since the previous collection.
Read Stall (ms)	Total time, in milliseconds, that processes waited for reads from files of this type since the previous collection.
Write Stall (ms)	Total time, in milliseconds, that processes waited for writes to files of this type since the previous collection.
