CREATE VECTOR INDEX index_name failed. At least minimum_sample_count vectors must be sampled to train the product quantization codebook, but only actual_sample_count vectors were sampled.
- index_name: The name of the index.
- minimum_sample_count: The minimum number of samples required.
- actual_sample_count: The number of usable samples actually found.
Cause
The product quantization codebook could not be trained because the sampling query returned fewer usable vectors than required.
Action
Ensure that the base table contains enough valid dense vectors (i.e vectors that do NOT feature any {NaN, +INF, -INF} components), or create the vector index without product quantization.
