Cause
After successfully connecting to the far sync, an error was encountered when managing the failover target destination on the far sync.
Action
Check the alert log and traces of both the current database and the far sync for further details. Retry the operation if a problem is identified and corrected. Using the FORCE option on the failover command allows the operation to proceed and bypass the far sync; but bypassing the far sync increases the potential for data loss.
