Database Error Messages

The Oracle Data Guard broker operation required this database instance to be shut down and restarted.

If Oracle Clusterware has not already done so, shut down the Oracle instance and then restart it.

No action is required if this error was returned from DBMS_DG.SWITCHOVER and Oracle Clusterware has restarted the database.

If this error was returned by DBMS_DG.CONVERT_TO_PHYSICAL or DBMS_DG.REINSTATE, wait for the database to start, and wait for the broker to complete initialization using DBMS_DG.WAIT(WAIT_BOOT, wait time in seconds). Then, for reinstate and convert operations, retry the operation.
