Cause
The instance failed to perform the specified operation because it could not locate the ASM instance that was serving a required disk group.
Action
If you want to start the database instance, ensure that there is a local or remote Oracle Automatic Storage Management (Oracle ASM) instance available, that has the required disk group mounted. The Oracle ASM must be accessible through the Oracle ASM listeners. Examine any accompanying errors in the stack to understand the possible reasons for this failure. Fix the errors and restart the database instance.
