Cause
An attempt to create or locate a file failed because the metadata service in the Oracle Automatic Storage Management (Oracle ASM) instance is unavailable.
Action
Check the alert log of the Oracle ASM instance and the ARB9 process trace file in the Oracle ASM instance for more information. Ensure that the platform supports the metadata service. If the platform supports the metadata service, verify that the Oracle ASM instance is active and that the metadata service configuration is valid.
