This guide describes how to install or upgrade Oracle Communications Cloud Native Core, cnDBTier (cnDBTier) in a cloud native environment. It also includes information on performing fault recovery for cnDBTier.”

Note:

kubectl commands can vary based on the deployment platform. Replace kubectl with Kubernetes environment-specific command line tool to configure Kubernetes resources through kube-api server. The instructions provided in this document are as per the Oracle Communications Cloud Native Core, Cloud Native Environment (CNE) version of kube-api server.

Caution:

cnDBTier is a key component of the 5G Service Based Architecture.

cnDBTier is the geodiverse database layer provided as part of the Cloud Native Environment. It provides persistent storage for the state data and subscriber data in a cloud environment. Any Kubernetes environment with dynamic Kubernetes storage supports cnDBTier installation.
