Installation Updates

• Added a requirement for the CNE cluster Top-Level Domain (TLD) name to start with an "adhoc" identifier and then followed by additional levels that provide more context to the cluster in the Inventory File Preparation section.
• Added a mandatory step to disable the bastion_http_server service while performing postinstallation tasks in the Verifying and Configuring Common Services for LBVM section.
• Removed local_dns_enabled variable from the Environmental Variables table.
• Added a procedure to scale out CNLB App Pods in the Configuring Cloud Native Load Balancer (CNLB) section.

• Added the Configuring Top of Rack Switches section to provide information about the generic requirements, capabilities, and configuration of ToR switch to support BareMetal CNE clusters.
• Added the Sample ToR Switch Configurations section to provide sample ToR switch configuration templates for MetalLB, CNLB VLAN, and CNLB bond0.
• Added the Installing BareMetal CNE using Bare Minimum Servers section to provide the procedure to install CNE on a BareMetal deployment using bare minimum servers (three worker nodes).
• The following updates are made to the Environmental Variables section:
  • Added details about the secrets.ini variables.
  • Segregated the occne.ini variable depending on the type of Load Balancer (LBVM or CNLB).
• Updated the Deploying CNE Cluster in OpenStack Environment section to include steps to set the secrets.ini variables required to deploy a CNE cluster using LBVM.
• Updated step 14 in the Updating cluster.tfvars for CNLB section to provide details about the occne_k8s_floating_ip_assoc variable and state that both occne_k8s_floating_ip and occne_k8s_floating_ip_assoc must have the same value.
• Added the Upgrading Grafana Post Installation section to describe the procedure to upgrade Grafana post installation.
• Added details about configuring the secrects.ini file for installing CNE file in the following sections:

• Updated the command to copy templates to cluster directory (Step 14a) in the Configuring Bootstrap VM section.

Upgrade Updates

• Updated the supported upgrade path in the Supported Upgrade Paths section.
• Added the Preserving Prometheus Alert Rules section to provide the steps to back up user-specific alert rules before performing an upgrade.
• Added the Upgrading BareMetal CNE Deployed using Bare Minimum Servers section to provide the prerequisites and the points to be considered while upgrading a BareMetal CNE that is deployed using bare minimum servers (three worker nodes).
• Added the Restoring Prometheus Alert Rules section to provide the steps to restore Prometheus alert rules after an upgrade.
• Added the Upgrading Grafana Post Upgrade section to describe the procedure to upgrade Grafana post upgrade.

Fault Recovery Updates

• Updated the steps to recover a failed Bastion Host for BareMetal, OpenStack, and VMware in the Recovering a Failed Bastion Host section.
• Updated the following procedures to include information and steps specific to CNLB deployments:
