This section introduces the documentation updates for release 25.2.1xx.

Release 25.2.100 - G39653-02, December 2025

General Updates

Updated the release number in the binary file name to 25.2.100 in the Configuring PIP Repository section.

Fault Recovery

The podman run command in Step 11 of the Recovering a Failed Kubernetes Controller Node in an OpenStack Deployment section has been updated to mount /hosts/secrets.ini file.

Release 25.2.100 - G39653-01, November 2025

General Updates

• Updated the release number to 25.2.100 in the entire document.
• Updated the Oracle Linux (OL9) Kernel version from UEKR7 to UEKR8 in the Configuring YUM Repository section.
• Updated error correction policy details for 25.2.100 in the Oracle Error Correction Policy section.
• Updated the "CNE Variables" table in the Common Installation Configuration section to include all the common services variables.
• Added the environment variables for cnlb-app and cnlb-manager pods in the Configuring Cloud Native Load Balancer (CNLB) section.

Installation Updates

• Updated the Preinstallation Tasks section that explains that master nodes do not hold data any more, only data nodes store the data.
• Added the occne_registry_user and occne_registry_pass secret.ini variables in the Environment Variables section.
• Removed the step that explains the additional external dns_nameservers configuration for both CNLB and LBVM components in the following sections:
  • Updating cluster.tfvars for CNLB
  • Updating cluster.tfvars for MetalLB
• Updated the Bootstrap configuration step for copying the necessary files from the containers to the Bootstrap using the podman command in the following sections:
  • Performing Automated Installation
  • Predeployment Configuration for OpenStack
  • Configuring Bootstrap VM
• Added an optional step to dedicate CNLB nodes to specific worker nodes during post installation. For more information, see Activating Optional Features Post Installation.

Upgrade Updates

• Updated the supported upgrade path in the Supported Upgrade Paths section.
• Added the section Upgrading CNE Upto Two Releases (N+2) that provides instructions on how to upgrade CNE up to two versions in a single step.
• Added the Updating Network Attachment Definition Plugin section that provide instructions on updating the external network attachment definition plugin before upgrading the CNE cluster.
• Added the Renewing Kubernetes Certificate section that provides information on when to manually renew the Kubernetes certificates.
• Added the Ensuring Policies in Neutron Allow Port Update section that provides information on neutron policy update for port modifications before upgrading the cluster.
• Added the Removing VCD Variables from the occne.ini File section that provides instructions on how to remove VMWare Cloud Director (VCD) variables from the occne.ini file as the VCD controllers and plugins versions are now managed exclusively by Kubespray.
• Updated the Predeployment Configuration for VMware section that provides instructions to remove vsphere_csi variables from the sample occne.ini file from LBVM and CNLB components.
