1 Getting Started with UIM

You use the Oracle Communications Unified Inventory Management (UIM) feature for Oracle Communications Design Studio to create and maintain specifications and other content that define inventory entities and their behavior in UIM. Specifications can describe physical inventory items (such as routers or interface cards) or intangible items such as roles, business interactions, and addresses. You use specifications as blueprints for the various kinds of entities contained in your inventory.
