Release 26.2 - June 2026

The following sections describe the new features and enhancements in the Oracle ECP release.

Subscriptions Management

Oracle Enterprise Communications Platform (Oracle ECP) now includes enhanced subscription management capabilities that provide greater visibility and control over device and Cloud Connector subscriptions. Administrators can access a new Subscriptions page to view subscription status, billing cycle information, SKU allocations, and usage trends across billing periods. Subscription data can also be exported for reporting and operational analysis.

This release also introduces subscription-aware onboarding and management workflows for supported customer environments. Administrators can select subscription plans when onboarding devices and Cloud Connectors, monitor subscription usage through enhanced usage charts and reporting, and update subscriptions directly from device and Cloud Connector management pages. These improvements help simplify subscription administration, improve visibility into connectivity usage, and ensure services remain aligned with operational requirements.

Starlink Mini Satellite Terminal Offering

Oracle ECP now offers the Starlink Mini satellite terminal as an additional satellite connectivity option for Oracle Cloud Connector deployments. When ordering satellite connectivity, customers can choose between the new Starlink Mini terminal and the existing Starlink Gen 3 terminal based on deployment needs.

The Starlink Mini terminal provides a smaller, lower-power option for deployments where compact size, portability, simplified installation, or reduced power consumption is preferred. The Starlink Gen 3 terminal remains available for higher-throughput, stationary deployments where the satellite connection is expected to support heavier network usage and greater reliability. This additional offering gives customers more flexibility when selecting the satellite terminal that best fits their site requirements, installation constraints, and expected network usage.

Dashboard Enhancements

Oracle Enterprise Communications Platform (Oracle ECP) introduces a new Status tab on the Dashboard page to provide a focused view of operational health information. The Status tab displays role- and context-based visualizations for incidents, warnings, in-use hardware connectivity, activation state, and customer connectivity status.

With the enhanced Dashboard, administrators can monitor issue severity, filter issues by time period, drill down into issue topics, use drill up to return to the incidents and warnings overview, open filtered issue details, and review connected and disconnected counts for in-use devices and edge nodes. The Customers tab has also been updated to focus on customer summary information, including inventory, usage, onboarding, and status details.

Activity Log

Oracle Enterprise Communications Platform (Oracle ECP) now includes an Activity Log that provides a single place to track user-triggered actions and request activity. Administrators can monitor status and progress, search and filter records, sort results, export activity data, and drill down into action details for troubleshooting. The Activity Log supports user actions such as Replace Edge and Apply Configuration, with job-level details for related Devices or Edge Nodes, workflow status, metadata, and downloadable logs.

The Activity Log also consolidates onboarding and offboarding request tracking into the same experience. The former Requests page is now accessible through Activity Log contexts for onboarding and offboarding devices and edge nodes, while existing request details workflows remain available. Ask Oracle (O-Tag) notifications can also open the corresponding Activity Log details page directly for supported user actions and onboarding or offboarding requests.

Zero Touch Edge Activation

Oracle ECP now supports Zero Touch Edge Activation for Cloud Connector devices, allowing users to initiate activation directly from the Oracle ECP cloud UI after onboarding. From the Edge Node Details page, you can start the activation process, connect to the Cloud Connector Wi-Fi network when prompted, and monitor activation progress through the local UI until the device becomes active and ready for use.

This feature streamlines Cloud Connector deployment by combining cloud-based onboarding with guided activation. To use Zero Touch Edge Activation, the Cloud Connector must already be onboarded and available in the Edge Node Inventory, and the activation device must be connected to the Wi-Fi network of the specific Cloud Connector being activated. Once activation is complete, the Cloud Connector transitions from the Onboarded lifecycle state to Active and can be managed through the Oracle ECP cloud UI.

WAN Interface Transmission Rate Configuration and Bandwidth Performance Testing

Oracle ECP now supports transmission rate configuration and bandwidth performance testing for WAN interfaces on Cloud Connector devices. From the Network tab on the Edge Node Details page, you can configure upload and download transmission rate limits for Broadband, Cellular, and Satellite interfaces using Bandwidth Distribution, and run on-demand bandwidth tests to measure available bandwidth and view historical performance trends.

Bandwidth testing and transmission rate configuration are available only for WAN interfaces and are not supported for LAN interfaces, including LAN1, LAN2, and Wi-Fi. Additionally, the Network tab has been updated to display the new Bandwidth Performance Test Graph for supported WAN interface types.

Configuration Management for Edge Nodes

Oracle ECP now supports Configuration Management for Edge Nodes, giving you a single configuration editor for managing edge node settings across related configuration blocks such as General, Broadband-WAN1, Cellular, Wi-Fi, Quality of Service, Access Control List, and Firewall Settings. You can prepare changes, track template versions, publish a stable version, and apply that version when you are ready.

This feature supports template-based configuration for reusable settings that apply to one or more compatible edge nodes, and single-edge configuration for updating one edge node directly from the Edge Node Details page. Only published template versions can be applied, and selected edge nodes must be compatible, Connected, and in the Active lifecycle state; you can monitor configuration update progress from Activity Log.

Location-Based Services

Oracle ECP now supports Location-Based Services for devices and edge nodes, helping you capture, display, and manage location information across Oracle ECP. You can review deployment location from the Location tab, update location details from the item overview page, and use Inventory Map View to see where devices and edge nodes are deployed.

Inventory Map View supports markers, clusters, and map-based filtering with a geofilter, so you can narrow inventory results to a geographic area and move from the map to individual asset details. Oracle ECP also distinguishes deployment location, registration address, and GPS location; GPS location is available for supported MDM-enabled devices on the device Location tab and does not appear in Inventory Map View.

Enhanced LAN and USB Device Management on Cloud Connectors

Oracle ECP now provides expanded support for edge-connected device onboarding and management. On the Edge Node Details page, the Devices tab shows LAN devices connected through Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet LAN interfaces and USB devices connected through USB ports, including status, connection details, identifying values, activity, and data usage. Detected devices remain unmanaged until they are onboarded with matching information, such as the MAC Address for LAN devices or Make and Model for USB devices.

Device onboarding is now integrated with the Devices tab so that Oracle ECP can match detected devices to onboarded device records. When the match is successful, the detected device appears as a managed device and the device name appears in the devices inventory table. If auto-blocking is enabled for the tenancy, Oracle ECP automatically blocks unmanaged devices when they connect to an edge node. To enable or disable auto-blocking for a tenancy, contact Oracle Support.

Administrators can use the Devices tab and Manage Devices drawer to assign static IP addresses to LAN-connected devices, block LAN devices by MAC address, and block or unblock visible USB devices. This release also adds interface-focused Network tab updates, including WAN bandwidth allocation, LAN DHCP address management, firewall settings, proxy review, and Block traffic controls for IP addresses, CIDR ranges, or FQDNs.
