2 What's New
The following information describes new features and enhancements included in the latest release of the Oracle® Intelligent Communications Orchestration Network cloud service.
Role-Based Access Control for User Administration
The Oracle® Intelligent Communications Orchestration Network cloud service supports role-based access control (RBAC) with predefined administrative roles for Enterprise and Partner deployments. You can assign users one or more roles to grant permissions based on their administrative responsibilities, enabling controlled access to service configuration, site and number management, voice gateways, operations, customer accounts, reporting, and audit information. User permissions are additive when multiple roles are assigned.
See "User Roles in Oracle® Intelligent Communications Orchestration Network cloud service" in the "User Roles and Permissions" chapter of the Getting Started Guide.
Physical Private Interconnect Support
The Oracle® Intelligent Communications Orchestration Network cloud service supports physical private interconnects for Physical Carrier Interconnect and Physical Device Interconnect orders. From the Private Interconnect Orders page, you can provide physical interconnect details, including the region, facility, interface type, auto-negotiation setting, and bandwidth. You can also monitor the interconnect through provisioning and access the information required to establish the physical connection.
See "Update a Private Interconnect" in the "Private Interconnect Orders" chapter of the User Guide.
Microsoft Edge Browser Support
The Oracle® Intelligent Communications Orchestration Network cloud service supports the Microsoft Edge browser.
See "Supported Browsers" section in the What's New Guide.
Inactive Elements
When a service, integration, or number block, enters a corrupted or unstable state, the Oracle® Intelligent Communications Orchestration Network cloud service keeps the entity visible but restricts it to view-only access. The UI identifies inactive entities to prevent users from making changes that could worsen the issue or affect dependent resources. When an element goes inactive, the system automatically alerts the monitoring team and records the transition and recovery actions for audit purposes. Oracle Support then investigates and restores the entity. For subscription-based services or integrations, customers are not billed for periods in which the entity is inactive and unusable.
ElevenLabs Text-to-Speech Support
The Oracle® Intelligent Communications Orchestration Network cloud service supports ElevenLabs Text-to-Speech (TTS) for speech synthesis during bot interactions. You can configure ElevenLabs as the TTS provider by specifying your ElevenLabs API key, voice ID, and selecting a supported TTS model.
See "ElevenLabs Text-to-Speech Engine" in the "Voice Gateways" chapter of the User Guide.
Private Interconnect
The Oracle® Intelligent Communications Orchestration Network cloud service supports private interconnects to generic SIP trunks or carrier SIP trunks. Previously customers had to open a ticket to add these, but now this is supported in the UI. See the "Services" chapter in the User Guide for more information.
