Container Platforms for Solution Designer
Oracle Communications Service Catalog and Design - Solution Designer is designed to be agnostic of the underlying cloud infrastructure. It relies on standard APIs, objects and configuration functions from the software products listed in this document. As such, Service Catalog and Design is certified on any container platform based on a CNCF-certified Kubernetes, provided the version requirements listed in this document are satisfied.
Solution Designer has been tested on a standard "upstream" (kubernetes.io) deployment of Kubernetes on Linux VM and bare metal (private lab and IaaS). Solution Designer has also been tested on Oracle OCI OKE platform with Oracle Multitenant Database via co-located Oracle Database Service (VM). Solution Designer includes specific support for OCI and OKE.
Other Kubernetes distributions and container platforms may impose their own operational, security and configuration requirements. These would have to be addressed as part of the uptake of Solution Designer, with support from the third party provider.
An important requirement is the presence of an Oracle Multitenant Container Database in close network proximity to the platform, in an environment and configuration that is officially supported by Oracle.

Table 1-5 lists the explicit versions of Service Catalog and Design - Design Studio (refer to the row headers) that are required for specific application release versions (refer to the columns). For example, if you are using Order and Service Management (OSM) 7.4.0, you must use Design Studio 7.4.1.0 or higher.
This section does not list all versions of Design Studio that are compatible with all the application release versions. If the application release you are using is not listed in the matrix, refer to the Design Studio version for the previous application release. For example, if you are using OSM 7.4.1, you can use the versions of Design Studio that are listed for OSM 7.4.0. Oracle recommends that you use the latest version of Design Studio that supports the application release you are using.
