Description of the illustration ds_model_categories.gif

This figure describes the hierarchy of the category of projects in which you can define data schemas. There are four rows, and each row represents a project category. The rows are ordered from least specific to most specific, such that row 1 is the most generic and row 4 is the most specific. Row 1 describes a common model project, which is not domain- or product-specific, and is used for multiple domains across products. Row 2 describes common product projects, which is not domain-specific but is product-specific, and is used to support multiple domains. Row 3 describes a domain-specific (but not product-specific) model project, which supports multiple products. Row 4 describes a product- and domain-specific project, which applies to a single domain and a single product.
