Diameter Message Manipulations

The Oracle Communications Session Border Controller can manipulate grouped and non-grouped AVPs, as configured in diameter manipulation rules (DMR). Message manipulations can search for a string within an AVP and replace it with another value, add AVPs, or delete AVPs. This is similar to the header manipulation rules functionality.

Diameter manipulation configuration elements are defined by a name parameter, and you can optionally add a description field. Within each diameter manipulation element, you can configure multiple diameter manipulation rule subelements. The manipulation rule subelements identify the AVP to search in, what to search for, and what to do when a match is found.

You can apply diameter manipulations to external policy server configurations. These manipulations affect traffic between the SBC and the applicable policy server.

Note:

The SBC does not support diameter manipulation across the Cx interface for home subscriber server configurations.
