Naming Diameter Manipulations

The Oracle Communications Session Border Controller restricts the way you can name a diameter manipulation rule as follows:

• Character limit - diameter manipulation rule names cannot be longer than 24 characters.
• Numeric characters - diameter manipulation rule names must not start with a numeric character.
• Special characters - Special characters are not supported within diameter manipulation rule names, with the exception of the underscore and hyphen characters.
• Capital letter characters - The SBC includes reserved keywords that are named using all-capital letters. To avoid conflicts between keywords and diameter manipulation rules, do not configure diameter manipulation rule names using all capital letters.

Although diameter-manip-rule and avp-header-rule names have the same character-type restrictions, they do not have a character limit.
