watchdog

The watchdog command sets or queries the state of the watchdog timer. If the system becomes unstable causing the watchdog timer to not reset, the system reboots.

Syntax

watchdog <arguments>

Arguments

<arguments> The following is a list of valid arguments:

• Values:
  • enable—Enable the watchdog timer
  • disable—Disable the watchdog timer
  • fetch—Display the watchdog timer configuration

    Note:

    The fetch argument can be accessed from user mode.
