About This Guide

This Installation and Platform Preparation Guide addresses platform preparation of platforms that support Oracle Communications Session Border Controller version CZ8.1.0. This software encompasses multiple products. This content bridges the information between physical installation and initial power on procedures. The guide takes into account the fact that a variety of platforms are supported, each one posing its own operational considerations, and presents information specific to each platform that enables proper product operation.

Whereas platform documentation for physical installation is provided by Oracle and the respective vendors, this guide addresses those details in between physical installation and service configuration. For service configuration, see the applicable Configuration Guide for your product. In addition, the information herein can help users after product deployment to, for example, identify physical interfaces.
