Diameter AVP Notation

3GPP 32.299 states the following symbols are used in the message format definitions:

<AVP> indicates a mandatory AVP with a fixed position in the message.

{AVP} indicates a mandatory AVP in the message.

[AVP] indicates an optional AVP in the message.

*AVP indicates that multiple occurrences of an AVP is possible.
