Start the Oracle Database Software Installer

Log in as the oracle user with the -Y flag.
```
ssh -Y oracle@vm
```
Navigate to the following directory:
```
cd /home/oracle/app/oracle
```
Unzip the Oracle database software installer.
Note:
If necessary, install unzip with the command yum install unzip.
```
unzip linuxx64_12201_database.zip
```
Navigate to the following directory:
```
cd /home/oracle/app/oracle/database/
```
Run the Oracle database software installer.
```
./runInstaller 
```
Note:
When you run the installer, you will see the following message:
```
[oracle@myserver dbhome_1]$ ./runInstaller
Launching Oracle Database Setup Wizard...
```

Every time that you run the Oracle Installer, it displays a warning message about insufficient swap space. Type y to ignore this message and continue the installation.

[oracle@myserver database]$ ./runInstaller

Starting Oracle Universal Installer...

Checking Temp space: must be greater than 500 MB.   Actual 309103 MB    Passed
Checking swap space: must be greater than 150 MB.   Actual 7799 MB    Passed
