Authentication Types
Authentication Types is a standard configuration interface for the authentication options within Unified Assurance.
You can configure Unified Assurance to use up to four different methods for authentication of users:
-
Internal - Used for backup accounts and environments without external authentication.
Note:
By default, internal authentication is always active.
-
LDAP - Used for OpenLDAP integration.
-
Active Directory - Used for Microsoft Active Directory (AD) integration.
-
SAML - Used for SAML integration.
WARNING:
With the SAML authentication type enabled, all deep-links will attempt to validate against SAML service, potentially redirecting the user to a SAML identity provider log in page. All users should log into the top-level Web FQDN and only use deep-links after logging in.
See the following guides for additional information that could be useful:
Refer to the Standard Configuration Interface guide for details on interacting with the grid and form, though there is no Button Bar with the add/clone/delete options.
This user interface calls REST methods from api/AAA/authTypes.
The UI path for this interface is Configuration -> AAA -> Authentication Types.
