Vertices
Vertices is a standard configuration interface for adding, editing, and removing Vertices as well as special properties. Vertices can be a Device, SLM Service, SLM Metric, etc. and are used to represent these items in the graph database. Properties of the vertices are custom name/value pairs used for meta tagging. Certain Unified Assurance components leverage this meta data for display and/or correlation purposes.
Note:
Great care should be taken when modifying anything in the database as miss-configurations can cause unintended results.

This user interface calls REST methods from api/graph/vertices.
The UI path for this interface is Configuration -> Graph -> Vertices.

Form Fields

Name - The name of the object, which must be unique within the graph database.

Type - The type of the vertex, from the Vertex Types interface.

Vertex Properties - This section contains any additional required properties for the vertex.
Note:
Simple text- or numeric-based properties do not need to be pre-configured before they can be applied to vertices. When using the UI, an available property can be added to the vertex, then renamed by selecting the "Name" column value and entering a new value.
However, more complex properties that are based on other Unified Assurance data should be configured before use. See the Property Types UI for additional information.
