Files
Files is a standard configuration interface for uploading, editing, and removing Files. Uploaded files can then be referenced elsewhere in Unified Assurance, such as special icons for Objects, reports, etc.
Refer to the Standard Configuration Interface guide for details on interacting with the grid and form, and there are additional controls that are explained in the Grid Details section below.
This user interface calls REST methods from api/file/files.
The UI path for this interface is Configuration -> Files -> Files.
Grid Details
Besides the standard controls, this interface also has a Download option in the Button Bar. After an existing file has been selected, the Download button can be clicked to download the file.

In the main grid, click the "-" icon next to a file type to Collapse that type to hide those entries.

Click the "+" icon next to a file type to Expand the type to show those entries.
Form Fields

File - The file to be uploaded.

File Type - The type of the file.

MIME Type - The MIME type of the file.

File User Owner - The user owner of the file.

File Group Owner - The user group owner of the file.

Expiration - Expire time of file. Can be used to create a cleanup policy of expired files.

Viewers - Selection of user groups that have read-only access to file.
Best Practice

Rules files should not be uploaded to this interface, but instead to the Rules interface to take advantage of version control and synchronization between Unified Assurance servers.

Sound files are not universally compatible. MP3 file format is the most widely compatible and should work with Internet Explorer version 9 and forward. WAV and OGG will work with the application, but are less widely supported by the various browsers. It is highly recommended that any audio files, regardless of format, be tested for browser compatibility before being used in a production environment.
