Software Compatibility

The following table lists the supported software for Unified Assurance.

Software Version Notes
Operating system prerequisites Not applicable All servers must meet Linux prerequisites, including:
  • Using the Base or Cloud Linux installation
  • Installing required RPM dependencies
  • Installing NTP
  • Setting up DNS (do not use /etc/hosts entries)
  • Opening ports and configuring firewalld
  • Setting up other optional Linux configurations you may want, including FIPS 140-2 compliance, SELinux, fapolicyd, and proxy support.

Oracle Linux Oracle Linux 8 and 8.x updates Oracle products certified on Oracle Linux are also supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux due to implicit compatibility between both distributions.

Oracle does not run any additional testing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux products.

This release also supports enabling SELinux.

Note: Oracle Applications are developed and tested on Oracle Linux, which is optimized for performance, stability and security.

Unified Assurance is supported on all Oracle Critical Patch Updates. You should install the latest Critical Patch Updates as soon as possible.
