• ICMP-Router-01 (directly associated device)

• SNMP-Switch-01 and SNMP-Switch-02, which are both directly associated devices

• GNMI (protocol-specific group), which contains the stacked device examples GNMI-Router-01 (discovered gNMI device) and GNMI-Router-02

• Cisco Meraki, which contains CustomerA-Org_12345 (Meraki organization group), which contains Meraki-Switch-01

• Aruba Central, which contains aruba-controller-01 (controller/host), which contains London-Site (site associated with the discovered device), which contains Aruba-AP-01

• Cisco DNA, which contains Cisco-DNA-Device-01

• VMware, which contains VMware-Device-01

The image illustrates that ICMP and SNMP devices can be associated directly with the selected device group, while gNMI and API-based discovery methods can create or reuse child groups beneath the selected device group.
