NPM Dashboards Performance
This chapter provides results of the performance tests for the Oracle Communications Unified Assurance Network Performance Management (NPM) dashboards, which involves NPM dashboards on the presentation server rendering data from the Historical database.
The testing was performed in a lab environment, which cannot exactly replicate a production environment.
The testing was performed on the following NPM dashboards, determined to be the most resource-intensive:
-
Network Performance
-
Device Overview
-
Interface Overview
Other dashboards can reasonably be assumed to load in the same or less time.
Although the Unified Assurance environment was configured as described in Unified Assurance Configuration, only the Historical database and presentation server are relevant to this test.
Additional Configurations for NPM Dashboards Performance
In addition to the basic configuration described in Performance Test Configuration, roughly 10 million records were added to the metrics index in the Historical database.
Results for NPM Dashboards Performance
To test load time, the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) was measured five times for each dashboard. LCP indicates the time it takes to render the largest element on the dashboard, relative to when the tester first navigated to the dashboard.
The following table lists the LCP, averaged across all five tests, for each dashboard.
| Dashboard | Average LCP |
|---|---|
| Network Performance | 6.28 seconds |
| Device Overview | 7.14 seconds |
| Interface Overview | 6.86 seconds |
