Menus
Menus is a standard tree configuration interface for adding, editing, and removing the custom menus that you can assign to diagram widgets. Unified Assurance includes a predefined Device Info menu with some useful administration tools. You can assign this menu to widgets as-is, you can customize it for your needs, or you can create new menus.
For information about interacting with the grid and form, see Standard Tree Configuration Interface in Unified Assurance Concepts.
This user interface calls REST methods from the api/diagram/menus endpoints. See REST API for Unified Assurance Core for details.
To open this interface, from the main navigation menu, select Configuration, then Diagrams, and then Menus.
Form Fields
-
Name: The name for the menu.
-
Tools: The tools in the menu.
Best Practices
-
You can use the -- Separator -- tool to create a horizontal line in the menu to visually separate tools.
-
The menus you have access to during diagram design or when viewing diagrams depend on the RestrictiveDiagramMenuID properties for your primary user group and subgroups. If no restrictive properties are set, you have access to all diagram menus.
-
When creating a new user group, Oracle recommends also creating a new diagram menu to set as the restrictive menu for the group. User groups with no restrictive menu use the Root menu, with access to all diagram menus.
